Halloween Festivities...

Our ward Halloween party did not disappoint, especially with my friend, Jill's, costume as Beverly from the hit TV show, The Goldberg's. We had our annual chili cook-off and the weather was nice so the kids could go trunk to trunk getting candy. Preston caught on pretty quick to what was going on, but once he found a sucker, he was good! Preston was BB8 and coordinated with Ryan who was a storm trooper.

On Halloween we invited some of Kate's good friends from school to come over to eat pizza before heading out to go trick or treating. She and her best friend, Emmy, were matching Penguins, the easiest costume yet! Zach dressed up at Average Joe, the dodge ball player and hopped around our surrounding neighborhoods with our neighbors the Gatchell's. He is too hard to keep up with so I went out with the girls. Emmy's mom Elma joined us too! The kids got so much candy this year. I let them dig into it right away hoping that they forget about it after a few days. And Justin has brainwashed the kids to think they are allergic to peanut butter so that they will give all their peanut candy to him. He thinks he is a genius.

My Side Kick...

We put down turf in our background and forewent planting trees to avoid the pile of leaf situation every fall, but we still managed to get quite a few blown in from the neighbors yard and park. So after Kate's soccer game I asked for her help in raking them and putting them into the yard debris can. She is always so willing to help me out in the yard. And with a smile on her face too! She is my best helper and makes what would be a very hard job lots easier! I love my Kate!

Pumpkin Carving...

We took Grandma and Grandpa up to Plumper Pumpkin Patch to get some pumpkins for the kids to carve for FHE. The weather was gorgeous and the two little's, Ryan and Preston, had a blast playing on the farm. They especially loved the tube slide. Now that Preston is over one I don't get the chance very often to get a snugly nap with with him on my shoulder, but I pooped him out just enough to sneak one last snoozer in.

This year Kate and Ryan were really into carving their pumpkins. I think they did a great job picking their designs and helping cut them out. Now we can focus on the anticipation of going trick or treating and getting candy!

Celebrating 15 years in Cabo!

Justin and I had our 15 year anniversary in July but never got a chance to celebrate formally because of all our work and family obligations. We celebrated later in October by treating ourselves to the most amazing resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I had seen a few people who had been to this resort before and they all raved about how amazing it was, so having never been to Cabo before, thought we could give the Resort de Pegregal a try. This trip exceeded all of our expectations and more!

When we landed I had arranged for the resort to pick us up to transport us to the resort. We were greeted with a sign at the airport with our names on it. We felt very "VIP". As we were approaching the resort our driver stopped at the gate and gave the guard our name to let us pass and as we rounded the corner we discovered this huge tunnel that we drove through to get to the resort. On the other side of the tunnel we were greeted with Hibiscus water and the bell boy took our luggage and we were then given a tour of the resort. Oh. My. Beautiful! Our minds were blown with anticipation of what we were going to be able to do the next five days! They proceeded to take us to our room. As they opened the door we were immediately greeted with tequila(wish we drank) and our amazing Ocean front view. We basically had died and arrived in heaven. The room was the nicest thing we had ever stayed in away from home and on our porch was our own infinity pool.

We spent the the next five days playing tennis with Pablo, the tennis pro, relaxing by the pool, being waited on by Eduardo, eating the most amazing food, enjoying the spa and work out facilities, taking Yoga from Juan, eating our daily delivery of complimentary chips and gauc, walking around the beach and resort grounds, walking around the city of Cabo, soaking in our infinity pool on our patio, and just relaxing in our room and watching the sun set every night over Pegregal. There was not one thing I could complain about.

The trip was perfect and I cold not have asked for a better person to spend it with than Justin. He was my best friend in college, and I still am so happy I made the decision to marry him. We have had quite the journey the last 15 years with school, residency, 4 moves, 4 kids, etc. But there is no one else I would want to take on life with. Happy 15 to us! And thanks Grandma and Grandpa Marostica for watching the kids and holding down the fort so we could take this trip of a lifetime!
