Elite Recital 2015...

Another year, another recital in the books!  This year I taught 5 classes. Pre-dance, Kinder and 6-7 Ballet and Kinder and 7-8 Jazz.  We changed things up a bit and held a ballet recital separate from the the jazz, tap and hip hop recital. The parents were a little worried at first about the time comittment but it turned out to be the greatest choice, and I dont think we will ever be going back to the old way.  It sure cut down on the 3 hour recital program we were making our audiences sit through.

Kate loved being involved in the Performing Company this year and was so proud do be dancing in so many dances. This is the first time I did not teach any of her classes, and it has been fun to see her confidence grow.  I love that she loves to dance!

Imagine Dragons...

It had been a while since Justina nd I had gone to a concert, so when I heard Imagine Dragons was coming to Portland on the radio I knew it was time for our next! We talked our good friends, the McCauleys to come to their Smoke+Mirrors show.  It was great, and it would have been better if they only allowed one opener!  We ate dinner with Matt and Angie Bond before(they went to the concert as well) and we all felt a little rushed to get to the concert so we didn't miss much.  Had we known there would be two opening acts we could have stayed and enjoyed dinner a lot longer.  Imagine Dragons did not take the stage until 9:30pm! But they were great!

Dental Wives Do Vegas!

Sometimes, as a mom, you just need a little getaway to take your mind off the day to day worries. It wouldn't matter what we did or where we stayed, just as long as I got to hang out with these great friends of mine. We all agreed that there is no one who knows us better than each other!  Vegas was good to us, and our great host Lindsey, who was days away from saying good-bye to her hometown, showed us a great time! A littel Pitch Perfect 2, some sushi fever, pancakes the size of a platter, pooltime, Michael Jackson One, oh the list goes on!  I love these girls with all my heart and love any chance I get to see and catch up on all the great things that are happning in their lives.  Heaven is going to be FUN!

All Good Things Come to and End...

The end of the school year creates absolute chaos around my house. Mostly good, but nevertheless CHAOS! Between school programs, soccer, dance, Justin's new calling of being Elders Quorum President, and a very busy and fast toddler, there was not a weekend that we did not have something or somewhere we needed tobe. I only have three kids but felt like I had 10 with the schedule I was trying to keep. Whew! Thank goodness we survived,  Justin and I divided and conquered. Here are a few pics I managed to take to prove our triumph! I am so proud of my kids and love watching them succeed at life.

Cousins Visit Portland...

Uncle Tyson and Aunt Jayne, and their two kids, Colbi and Crew, flew out all the way from New York for a visit.  Uncle Tyson is trying to figure out what his options are, post Chiropractic school graduation next March.  Portland happens to be a great place for Chiropractors so they came to check things out. We sure love it when family comes to visit.  And we finally got to meet our newest and youngest cousin Crew! Such a cutie!

We are not putting any pressure on them to choose Oregon but it sure would be fun if they moved here.  Especially for Ryan.  He could use some cousins around his age to play with. They are a cute crew, hard to get a photo of though with all of them looking in the same direction.  I guess that's a little too much to ask of them.
