20 Year High School Reunion

It's been 20 years since I graduated from high school! How did I get here? College, teaching high school, enduring dental school a single wife with a couple kids, a residency, 4 kids total, 4 moves, 3 apartments, 2 houses, 2 dental practices, and 3 jobs teaching dance...I mean when I add it up it seems like I have been up, down, east, west, and everywhere in between. But I don't really feel that different. I had so many things going on that I didn't make it to my organized reunion, but did manage to meet up with a few of my girlfriends who were in town. We met at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse to eat and catch up on each other's lives. It was such a treat to meet with them all and hear what they are all up to. I love these ladies and am so grateful to call them my friends.

This is 38!

My good friend Emily Boyd made my birthday cake, actually our(My Dad, his twin brother Uncle Russ, and Preston) birthday cake this year, to eat while celebrating with our family. It was so rich and filled with chocolate, caramel and Bavarian cream flavors. It was delicious! On my actual birthday my only request was an outing for ice cream with the family at Salt n Straw downtown off 23rd street. It was a good day.

He's 2!

Happy Birthday Preston! You are crazy. You love riding your scooter and love doing anything that your brother Ryan is doing. Except for some reason when you copy him you seem to get into trouble. Your intensity is a whole other level of boy than I am used to. I hope I survive being your mom. This year we gifted you toys to keep your hands busy. We love you!

Happy 4th!

The Oak Hills neighborhood parade, BBQ and Fireworks always make for a great 4th of July! We love this tradition and are thankful Aunt Heather and Uncle Steve let us invade their house and neighborhood every year to be a part of it all. So thankful for the freedoms we get to enjoy! Happy Birthday America!
