Going From 2 Kids to 7...

And I think I now know what it was like for my mom to have 7 kids...even if it was but for a moment. This past weekend Justin and I took care of a family of five kids, while their parents went to Arizona for the weekend to go to the Eagles game. What lucky bums right? Did I mention they flew with the team? Their 5 boys, yes all boys, were so fun and entertaining, and do I dare say a little tender too, for sports that is... These boys love sports, and have a special place in their hearts for the Eagles and the Yankees. I took this picture of the three oldest boys while they were ecstatic after the Eagles, who had been behind the entire game, finally scored to put them ahead 25 to 24 over the Cardinals. They are such special kids.

Oh and a few things, among several, I will have to learn if I am to have more kids...

  • Never pre-salt and pepper the food. I guess the more bland the better...pretty funny.
  • It's OK if you don't know where each kid is at each moment of the day. I guess you just trust them to make good decisions and to look after one another.
  • Getting dinner on the table will most likely be the hardest activity of the entire day, when you have at least one child, who of course, needs your undivided and uninterrupted attention. This is the truest test of your patience.

That was so nice of you to watch the kids. They are great kids. How fun to ride with the Eagles on the plane! Have you guys heard anything about schools?

Wow, how brave of you. Good practive for when we ask you to come back and watch our kids, right??? Oh how we would love another tropical vacation, who wouldn't, huh? It helps to have a daughter like Halle when it comes to the dinner thing and the undivided attention!

Now it takes a super woman to watch five kids + your own! I really would of loved to see you doing it, I mean after all I know you love kids, but come on 7 of them. No really all jokes aside I bet it was really hard, but a lot of fun too. I bet the boys loved having you and Justin to hang out with. So does it mean you are ready for number 3?!!!
