Sledding into 2016...

The Pacific NW has had some pretty good early snow storms and I couldn't let the Christmas Break end without giving my kids a real snow experience.  Ryan is a little older too so I figured he could handle the cold for a couple hours. It was defintiely cold, but we all survived and loved it! We invited our friends the McCauleys and Dorroughs to come sledding with us.  We first attempted to go to Ski Bowl's Adventure Tubing Park, but it was so crowded, so we headed up towards Timberline and found a little spot to park and sled through the trees.  The Snow was so deep but after a few runs down the hill, and a few tracks created to walk our way back up, we were set! We ended the day with a gorgeous sunset and burgers and shakes from Calamity Jane's...Yum! What a great way to kick off the New Year!

And who would have a thought two days later we would end up getting a small snowfall here in Portland.  Church got cancelled and everyone stayed home and played.  Ryan loved getting pulled around on the sled.
