Spring Baseball...

When Uncle Tony, Grandpa Marty's brother, comes to town you get the most wonderful pictures of your kids. Having him around for the last month, while he has been getting his teeth worked on, has been like having my own personal paparazzi! I am in LOVE with these pictures that he captured of Ryan's baseball season this spring. Watching my kids play sports is one of my favorite hobbies, and I really enjoyed watching this particular game and being able to just sit back and enjoy someone else taking on the responsibility to document these sweet moments.

 

Last Days of School...

Finally the last day of school! We made it! What a whirlwind. The end of the year events for 5th graders at Bonny Slope left my head spinning.  But I must quickly mention the sweet friendship Kate and Emmy have. It has been best friends from day one starting in Kindergarten, and they have stayed thick as thieves the entire way through elementary school. Between the talent show, carnival, clap out, exhibition, and add on top of that Ryan finishing up Kindergarten and Zach 8th grade...I am definitely feeling so excited for summer to officially start!

 

Fifth Grade Exhibition + Middle School Honors Society...

As the end of the school year approaches, Kate and Zach wrapped up their last year of both elementary and middle school with a fifth grade exhibition and honor roll ceremony. 

Kate's group prepared all month long researching Homelessness and did a fantastic job presenting their research to us parents on the night of 5th grade exhibition. She was nervous but I absolutely did not need to be. She worked so hard and was so prepared. We were so proud of her! We treated her and her girlfriends to a little Dairy Queen after the night was over.

Zach has been working very hard in school. He earned his first report card full of straight A's this year. The motivation to be able to have the app snapchat installed on his phone was all he needed to get himself on the honor roll. We still don't love snapchat but we absolutely love his efforts to get good grades. We are so proud of him!

Carrie Underwood...

 Wow, Carrie Underwood was hands down one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Having some of my best girlfriends with me helped too. But my goodness she has a set of pipes that can out sing anyone, Anyone! And so wholesome too! She just had a baby too and has her family touring with her. She is the real deal. I will forever be a fan!

Last Competition of the Year...

 Onstage is the last and final competition of the year! It's bittersweet as it feels like a marathon of a year, but also sad to see it end as its always fun to watch Kate and her team perform. Another tap duo with Shea and a lyrical trio with Claire and Emme is in the books! Picture day is now in the rear view mirror and we are headed for a crazy June filled with recital and all the end of the school year happenings. 

Zach plays a Tuba...

Three years ago I bought a piano from our neighbors and I am still mourning(not really) the fact that none of my kids have taken any interest in the piano. But I am happy to report that we have a tuba player! Ha! For the past two years, at Cedar Park, Zach has been learning how to play the trumpet. When the band teacher expressed a need for a tuba player Zach willingly stepped up to the plate. I am proud of him for putting himself out there. Now did he practice regularly?...um not a chance! BUT...At least one of my kids has learned to play a musical instrument! 

Mother's Day...

 This year's Mother's Day was a little more special with Jeff and his family being in town. Andy and Mari hosted a BBQ in their backyard. The weather was beautiful and the company even better!
