Lauren and Stockton get Married

With the kids being online for school we were all able to fly to Utah to be at Lauren and Stockton's wedding. Stockton has loved Lauren since high school, even though she didn't give him the time of day back then because she claimed he was "too nice". But he persisted and when they both had completed their missions he convinced her that his being nice was perfect for her. It was a gorgeous winter day with lots of sun and oddly warm temps for Utah. It was a beautiful day with an awesome dance party to boot!

 

 

Ice Castles in Heber, UT...

Lauren and Stockton got married in Utah and while we were there we ventured over to the ice castles in Heber. I had seen a ton of posts from people who had gone on social media so I had to experience it for myself. They are man made and lot bigger in person than I had anticipated. There were lights behind the ice and slides for everyone to slide on too. It was freezing of course but really quite beautiful and we all enjoyed the whole experience!

 

Ryan's Baptism...

Ryan has had an eventful couple of weeks. Christmas, his birthday at Great Wolf Lodge, snow skiing at Hoodoo for the first time and now getting baptized to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Grandma Laraine spoke about Baptism, Grandma Marostica spoke about the Holy Ghost, and Dad gave the comfirmation. Zach was old enough to baptize Ryan so that was such a neat experience for our family. We all gathered at the Stake Center with close friends and family, and logged those that couldn't be there in person on zoom to witness. It was special and you could tell how proud Ryan was to be baptized. We celebrated with lunch at our house afterward.
