What Was Supposed to be 3...

As a mom you have a certain time table as to when you want your kids' pictures taken. I aimed for 3 months, but RSV had me settle for just shy of 4 months. Once again, my good friend Ginnie was up to taking pictures for me. Being restricted to the indoors and better yet, my gloomy apartment, she did such an amazing job, as always. Here are some of my favorites. The hard part is deciding which ones to print, blow-up, change to black and white, etc.

He's My Favorite...

Tonight as I was giving Kate a bath, Zach walked in with his Wiggles backpack...this was our conversation...

Mom - "Where are you going with your backpack?"
Zach - "Me and Kate are going to California."
Mom - "Really? Why?"
Zach - "To go see Tyson."
Mom - "Oh really?"
Zach - "Yeah, we need to go to California to see Tyson...He's my favorite."
Mom -"Ok, well are you all ready to go?"
Zach - "Yep"

He then started unzipping his backback and showed me what he thought were the essentials...his pj's and pull-up, and Kate's pj's and her diaper.

Uncle Tyson will be leaving to go on his mission the first week in March, to Fresno, California. I think someone is going to miss him very much!

Rollin Rollin Rollin...

Kate has been rolling over for about two weeks now. Every time I put her on her back she rolls over to her stomach within minutes. Don't get me wrong I am glad that she can roll over now, but I am sad that I can't just put her down anywhere and know that she will be in the same spot I left her in. Here's the play by play!

They Say...

The best way to a man's heart is through his stomach...or something like that. SO what better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than to go to Maggianos Little Italy and eat your heart out...family style! As always, the food did not dissappoint! For appetizers we ate stuffed mushrooms and crab and shrimp bruschetta. Salads called for ceasar and maggianos salad. The pastas were the chicken and spinach manicotti and veal picatta. Our entrees were Chicken saltimbocca and salmon lemon and herb. Last, but definitely not least, our desserts, chocolate cake and tiramisu. GrEaT DaY...GrEaT FoOd...GrEaT CoMpAnY!

I am not totally against NFL football, but this past Sunday was so nice to have my husband back. Sorry babe, love you, but not your obsession with sUnDaY fOoTbAlL!!!

I don't know what I would do with myself if this ever came out of Justin's mouth...

Max & Erma's Great Deal...

First off lets start by mentioning that for the first time in a month, yes a whole month, I finally did not have to make dinner. We went out to eat. yEaH! Sounds silly, but it is a rare occasion around here.

Ok, now for the goods. I went online to get the phone number to Max & Ermas, a pretty good place to eat that is near our house, for call ahead seating. With kids, it is almost a must if you want to eat at a descent time in order to get them back home and in bed, and still have a Friday night to yourself. Anyways, right as I pulled up the website, there was an ad for $8 off when you purchase $20 or more. That is a great deal! Consider that a free appetizer or dessert, or if you are a larger family and always pass the $20 mark, then its a free meal for one person.

See the coupon for yourself!

If you have a Max and Erma's in your neighborhood stop thinking about what to cook and hurry in...you have 4 days left! Oh and print the coupon off for yourself. http://www.maxandermas.com/

Musical Clothes...

I am hoping this is a phase. Zach changes his clothes so much. These pictures range from 8am-1pm. This happens everday, and the Diego costume from Halloween always gets worn somewhere in there. His drawers are continually spilled out all over his bedroom floor. I obviously gave up on making him sit in time out for this. It is so bad, even his friends that come over to play get to play dress up in his pj's.

Feeling Better...

1 emergency room visit, 2 doctor visits, 3 nurse calls, too many to count coughing leading to vomit episodes, several wakings a night, 3 loads of RSV infected laundry, 21 treatments of albuterol mixed with saline and 14 days later...a whole new Kate! She is finally back to her happy self.

She learned how to roll over from her back to her stomach today...yEaH!

When RSV gets you down...

For the past week, and what feels like will be the rest of my life, Kate has RSV, the true killer to any life you thought you ever had. Plans to do things of any kind suddenly are thrown out the door. Time has been dedicated not only to the feeding, sleeping and diaper changing of my little girl, but now the snot sucking, nebulizing and the cleaning of vomit have been added to the list of my motherly duties.

So why add a blog to this list? Simple really, late nights due to the bedtime routine no longer established, mixed with the writer's strike that is devistating my TiVo watching days, equals the blog surfing I have been doing to keep myself awake and entertained. After a awhile I finally got the motivation to start my blogging days, despite the battle of pros and cons to the whole "blog" thing that I have been telling myself the last six months.

On a positive note, being forced by RSV to stay home, Zach is now potty trained! yEaH!!!

Kate's medicine...4times a day!

What potty training will do to a kid...

Zach is now really into being a big boy, so much that he decides what he wears every day, even if it means wearing a t-shirt in 30 degree weather, a swimsuit on the bottom and his shoes facing the direction he feels is most comfortable.

Birthday Bounce...

This year was the first year Zach really understood what a birthday was, so we decided to celebrate in true 3 year old style and invited 12 of his little friends to come bounce and celebrate his birthday. He was in heaven!

Zach bouncing with his girlfriend Camden.

Zach really did love this slide despite the look on his face.
