Rose Bowl

When your besties call you and ask if you want to go to the Rose Bowl to watch a football game...you GO! We scrounged for our UTES gear, cause let's be honest we are COUGS through and through, but Justin did do his residency at the U, so technically we are alumni. We are the best of friends with our favorite Ute alumn, Austen and his wife Val, and would never turn down a chance to vacay with them, so we hopped on a plane NYE and spent a memorable day in Pasadena, CA cheering on his team to a victory. I may have been there for the atmosphere and nachos too!

20 Year High School Reunion

It's been 20 years since I graduated from high school! How did I get here? College, teaching high school, enduring dental school a single wife with a couple kids, a residency, 4 kids total, 4 moves, 3 apartments, 2 houses, 2 dental practices, and 3 jobs teaching dance...I mean when I add it up it seems like I have been up, down, east, west, and everywhere in between. But I don't really feel that different. I had so many things going on that I didn't make it to my organized reunion, but did manage to meet up with a few of my girlfriends who were in town. We met at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse to eat and catch up on each other's lives. It was such a treat to meet with them all and hear what they are all up to. I love these ladies and am so grateful to call them my friends.

Pat McGee Band...

Back when Justin and I were in college we listened to the Pat McGee Band a lot. But after we got married and had our 4 children we sort of lost touch. Sad but true. So when my brother, Andy offered us his two tickets to see them live here in Portland, we jumped on the chance. The tickets included a nice dinner before with an up close and personal concert with the three band members. It was so fun to reminisce of our days in college and the days when we were dating. It was a great pre-Valentine's Day date!

Oh Jonte'...

One of my best friends, Sarah, who I danced with in high school opened up her own dance studio two years ago SMJ Performing Arts. Our friend Jonte' Moaning, who we also danced with in high school, was in town over the holiday break and was teaching a master class at her studio. Sarah texted me to come down and say hello and watch him do his thing. He is super talented and we always knew he would be a star. He has danced for Janet Jackson, Beyonce' Knowles, etc. The future is bright with this one. It was so fun to catch up with these two. It makes me so happy to see my friends succeed in making their dreams come true!
