Deck the Halls...

We continue with our Christmas tradition of heading out to Loch Lollyland in search for the perfect tree. Their supply was pretty awful so we saw Santa and gave him our wish lists and headed to another farm for better looking trees. Preston wants a Power Ranger Sword, Ryan wants an Electric Scooter, Kate wants Clothes and Zach wants a Carson Wentz Jersey. We ended up finding a tree over at Furrow Farms. It was a shorter tree than we usually have so I decided to make myself happier and put up my white flocked tree. Its a lot of work but so beautiful. All the ornaments are hand me downs from my mom. Growing up we always had a green tree and a flocked tree in the formal living room. I wish I had the space to put it up centered in a window. But the corner of my dining room is okay too.

A Smoked Turkey Thanksgiving...

Thanksgiving day was pretty chill this year. The boys played in a Turkey Bowl at the park with some of our good friends, the Carters and the Dorroughs. I spent some time in the kitchen prepping a smores pie and sweet potatoes to take over to Grandma's house and worked on a puzzle(our new tradition). Justin tried out his treager this year and smoked our turkey. Our gathering was smaller but the amount of food was beyond plenty. Happy Thanksgiving!

Family Photos at Cathedral Park

We met Aunt Mari down at Cathedral Park under the St. Johns Bridge to capture some family photos for our holiday card. Kate and Zach are especially looking so grown up. They are going to pass Justin and I up in height if they haven't already.

Zach's Junior Year on Varsity

Sunset Varsity soccer was so fun to watch this year. Zach's team made it to the second round of Playoffs and ended up losing to West Linn, but definitely not without a fight as the final score was 2-1. Zach had an amazing season with 5 goals as a midfielder and had a ton of assists. It was especially fun for me to watch him play for my old high school Sunset...so crazy how life delivers in full circle. We are going to miss some of his teammates next year, Michael Russack, Aaron Contreras and Shinzi to name a few. The brace on Zach's arm is from when he broke his mastoid bone from falling off a hoverboard at the Gatchell's house. I think it got better but because the season was going so well he continued to wear the brace out of superstition.
