Justin Turned 40!

For Justin's 40th Birthday I surprised him with a guys only fly fishing trip up in Maupin, OR on the Deschutes River. I emailed the guys in our family and a few close friends to see who would be able to make it and ended up with 8 able and willing to make the trip to celebrate Justin. They had an incredible weekend, even with the freezing temps. I was hoping for an Indian summer day but the temps in the upper 30s to low 40s decided to roll through. Thankfully they all seemed to have a great time!

New Dance Pics!

Another dance season begins, which means another year of dance pics! This year I surprised Kate with this beautiful leo from Tiger Friday. She chose her poses and Luis Torres worked his magic behind the camera to capture these images of my girl doing her thing. They turned out amazing!

Fall Soccer...

Ryan is thrilled to be playing soccer with his buddies from school and Zach is loving playing for the high school JV2 team. All freshman make the JV2 team, but in my opinion the better of the two JV2 teams. Their undefeated season would agree with me! Ryan is still a little timid in going after the ball but really knows how to spread the field and get open for a pass. Zach is all over the midfield and is quite the leader out there on the field. I just wish his leg was not giving him trouble. After each game he seems so fatigued in his right leg. He wants to continue to play through the pain and I would love to pretend its a consequence of growing pains, but watching him limp after games is alarming me that something greater is going on.

Losing Teeth...

Ryan not only lost one tooth but two this month! This is one of my favorite stages of all my kids...I am a sucker for that toothless grin.

First Day of School 2019-2020...

We have a lot of firsts in our house for the first day of school. Zach started his first year(9th grade) of high school at Sunset, Kate started her first year(6th grade) of middle school at Cedar Park, Ryan started 1st grade at Bonny Slope with Mrs. Swardstrom and Preston started his first year of Pre-K at A Child's Way. They all were a little nervous but returned with excitement for the year.

The video of Preston is bittersweet. I love his willingness to go to school and I love the free time that it will allow me to do something solo. But it also will be the last pre-school video I ever take and it makes me sad because I can't get enough of the cuteness and am afraid I will really miss this stage of my life.
