4 Months...

Preston is really starting to show his personality. He is happy and a good natured little guy.  He is pretty good at going with the flow, with the minor exception of riding in his car seat. He literally screams the entire time, I AM NOT JOKING! He has discovered his thumb and prefers it over anything else, but can't manage to find it when in the car. He is sleeping on his tummy and is starting to roll over. He is filling out his clothes finally and growing out of the infant stage. He sure is a cutie and we just love him to pieces!

Halloween 2016...

Halloween is probably my least favorite holiday, but the kids sure love it. Kate dressed up as a baby, Zach re-used his blue skin, Preston wore his "First Halloween" sleeper, and Ryan decided he would be a construction worker for the ward trunk or treat, and a fireman for trick or treating. I decided I would join the fun for our ward trunk or treat and went as a mouse.

One of Ryan's friends, Claudia, had a cute little Halloween party, the day of Halloween, to help us get into the spirit, which was fun. With having Preston I admit I lacked enthusiasm to make this Halloween memorable for my kids, so I am grateful for Claudia's mom, Nicola, making up for it. She had cute treats, games and crafts for them to do. It takes a village!

Lakeview Farms and Plumper...

I love this time of year! I love the tradition of going to Pumpkin Patches, and the crisp air that forces us to put on our favorite jeans, sweater and boots. It's the beginning of a long string of holidays and parties. What's not to like? This year I took the littles to Lakeview farms with Ryan's pre-school class and then later in the month we went to our favorite neighborhood pumpkin patch with our cousins Christian and Brooke. Ryan was loving the tractor ride! Preston slept for most of the time and Kate was off on her own running wild. There is nothing better than taking your kids to places where most of your responses are Yes, let's go!, Wow! So Fun!

Kate's 9th Birthday...

Kate is 9! This girl loves birthdays and loves gifts and all the attention that comes with it. But since it is an odd year we kept with tradition and had a party with just the family. She was thrilled about her Ivivva Jacket(the latest trend in clothing is Athleisure wear)! Kate's favorite color is Turquoise, she loves to make up dances with her friends, loves Mac and Cheese, Tomatoes and Sea Weed, dances, plays soccer and is one of my best helpers around the house. We love you Kate!

Preston's Blessing Day...

Justin blessed Preston today in church. Both sides of our family attended and he was as sweet as ever.  I thought for sure he would need his binky, so I made Justin run back to the car to get it before sacrament meeting started. He had so much adrenaline pumping through his body he could not calm his racing mind when he started the blessing.  He felt like his words were all over the place, but for me, I was grateful to have a worthy husband who could give our little guy a blessing.

And every plan I had of taking pictures of him in his blessing outfit came to a halt when Preston decided to have a blow out! Of course he had a blowout in his blessing outfit. Preston sure wasn't bothered by it. It is the perfect reminder to me of what my new normal has become...imperfect! Thank goodness, aunt Paige snapped a few picks of how happy of a baby he is. We are blessed to have him in our family, and we feel inadequate to be responsible for all our kids but somehow manage to keep them all alive.

Two Months...

Someone sure loves his little brother! Ryan wants to hold him all the time and giggles at every little face Preston makes, which are many. We are now getting the smile on command and we love it! Little man has also given me a little bit of a sleeping schedule at night, which I appreciate, with two wakings. One between 12-1am and the other between 4-5am. So collectively, if I can get myself in bed, I can get 6-8 hours of sleep. We are starting to find our new "Normal" around here. 4 Kids and their schedules plus selling and building a house is no joke!
