I actually got 2 tickets by the same cop (no headlights in a construction zone and failing to stop completely at a temporary stop sign) on Ridge Pike a few years ago. I had 4 kids in my car and balled my eyes out to no avail. The cop admitted to me that the township was cracking down to pay for road construction. This infuriated me!I paid the $50 when I sent in the ticket stating that I was going to fight them in court. So, I showed up in court with both my kids on each lap trying to get some sympathy...the cop showed up and tried to negotiate with me before the judge entered in the room and I said that I wanted to fight both. The judge heard me out and dropped both tickets and refunded me my $50 bucks. TOTALLY WORTH FIGHTING IT! Saved myself $181..and I didn't have an excuse like you! Hope it works out for you! See you at the senior dinner!Janellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15944668377434551704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7294454941592716248.post-18172803484306177232009-04-11T11:42:00.000-07:002009-04-11T11:42:00.000-07:00oh, and I once got pulled over doing 93 in a 55 an...oh, and I once got pulled over doing 93 in a 55 and only had to go to traffic school...Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937972233467000298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7294454941592716248.post-66275256448720492872009-04-11T11:40:00.000-07:002009-04-11T11:40:00.000-07:00that's called karmic payback for posting that vide...that's called karmic payback for posting that video of me...Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937972233467000298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7294454941592716248.post-43721896076883692562009-04-10T08:52:00.000-07:002009-04-10T08:52:00.000-07:00Been there, done that! Yes, I still remember bc I was 16 and was SO scared to tell my dad!

I feel your pain. I think it's totally worth fighting (but I always think tickets are worth fighting...), especially because if the cop doesn't show, the judge drops the charges.

Can you do traffic school or something else?emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13992015740946307064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7294454941592716248.post-75571306566679458282009-04-09T20:45:00.000-07:002009-04-09T20:45:00.000-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.emhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13992015740946307064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7294454941592716248.post-35770344701884702962009-04-09T19:44:00.000-07:002009-04-09T19:44:00.000-07:00I swear the cops have to meet their quota right no...I swear the cops have to meet their quota right now or something.
